Eiríkur is a lawyer by training with decades of experience in domestic and international legal and executive roles for companies, institutions, and individuals.

He is a former Supreme Court Justice, professor of law, and Supreme Court attorney, and has also served as chair of various administrative committees as well as in a wide range of management-related roles.
