Tómas served for many years as General Counsel and Head of the Corporate Governance Office at Embla Medical (formerly Össur). Prior to that, he worked in corporate advisory and legal advisory roles at Kaupthing Bank, as a lawyer at LEX, and as a legal adviser at the Parliamentary Ombudsman of Iceland.

Tómas holds a law degree from the University of Iceland and a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
